New to CrossFit

3 Steps to Get Started:

      • 1. TAKE A FREE SATURDAY INTRODUCTORY CLASS or SCHEDULE A FREE ONE ON ONE INTRODUCTION.

Regardless of a person’s past athletic experience or current level of fitness, everyone who comes to CrossFit Wappoo is offered a FREE introductory class that runs at 10AM every Saturday OR you can schedule a free one-on-one introductory session.   The introductory sessions are designed to help you understand what we do, and why we do it, answer any questions that you may have, and provide your first exposure to a CrossFit workout. You will gain instruction in some of the basic movements and experience examples of how we scale workouts for each individual. The introductory workout consists of a background discussion, warm-up, tailored workout and discussion about your fitness goals.

*If you already know you want to be a part of the CrossFit Wappoo community you can skip straight to steps 2 and 3.

      • 2. ATTEND A CROSSFIT FOUNDATIONS CLASS!

The next step is to attend a Foundations Class.

Foundations classes are kept small to assure proper attention. These classes are held 2xs per week for two consecutive weeks. As you work through the four consecutive sessions, you and your fellow newcomers will learn basic techniques, terminology, pre-workout warm ups and exercises before participating in regular CrossFit Wappoo classes.  Each session is ended with a workout then a short lecture explaining our methodologies. Foundations is the perfect place to ask questions and make some new friends before transitioning into our regular classes.

We ask you to commit to the Foundations schedule for the designated period. It is the only time we will ask you to commit to specific class dates/times. If you are unable to make a session, contact your Foundations coach. The cost for group foundations is $100.  If you would like to go through foundations in a one-on-one setting for a little extra attention, please contact us and let us know.

Foundations classes are typically scheduled Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:00 PM.  Additional classes can be scheduled for groups of 4 or more.

3. BECOME A MEMBER OF THE CROSSFIT WAPPOO COMMUNITY!

At the end of Foundations, if you have not already enrolled in a membership, your coach will discuss membership options with you.

Prior to joining us for class, please be prepared to come in early to fill out our waiver and health history questionnaire.
